Deutsche Grammophon (DG) features a rotating section on their website called "DG RADIO" where you can stream a handful of complete CD quality albums from their massive catologue. Recently they featured the late Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (famous for his German lieder, Schubert in particular) and now their feature artist is the famous conductor Claudio Abbado. Abbado has been the conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and was Herbert von Karajan's successor at the Berlin Philharmonic, which he lead from 1989-2002.
DG features a broad range of sampling of Abbado's work, including the 2004 recording of Mahler's 6th symphony that went to win Grammophone Magazine's "Record of the Year" in 2006. To hear the below works (and why wouldn't you want to?!? they're CD quality with some of the top ensembles in the world), click the DG Radio link at the top of the right column of this webpage. Once the DG Radio player opens, at the top you will see a "General" tab and a "Claudio Abbado" tab. You know what to do. You'll be happy you did. It won't be there for long, so get on it!
