In case you are wondering, the answer is incredible. The cantus firmus comes from Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” opener (which everyone knows from its ‘gaga math’ jokes) and brings a hearty serving of Johann Sebastian to the table. The original score was written for piano by Giovanni Dettori, where it was featured as a piano version on his YouTube channel “theartofcounterpoint”. The euphonium version shown here is played by Neil Jansen of North Hollywood, which is featured on his soundcloud account “BeanGolem”. Its incredible and needless to say I love it and it has been added to my ipod.
LONG LIVE THE FUGUE!
